A motorist is in hospital after undergoing surgery following a crash in Derbyshire.
Police said the 65-year-old was driving a motorised trike which crashed into a lamppost on the B6418 Clowne Road, Stanfree,
He was riding towards Clowne at the time of the collision, which occurred ay 12.50pm yesterday.
The motorist received first aid at the scene and was airlifted to the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, where he had surgery.
Witnesses or anyone who saw the vehicle beforehand should call the Derbyshire Police collision investigation unit on 101 and quote incident 437.
