DONCASTER is facing more delays – with fresh roadworks announced at the junction of White Rose Way and the M18.
But Doncaster Council says a number of the roadworks which have caused major traffic congestion in the borough are nearing completion.
The Highways Agency has announced it will carry out drainage works on the M18 southbound entry slip road at junction three, and will start the work tomorrow.
Work will continue until Thursday March 31 and will improve drainage and water quality.
There will be one lane closed on the southbound entry slip road 24 hours a day. A 50mph limit will be in place.
The slip road will be closed on three nights between 8pm and 6am. Traffic will be diverted via junction three northbound entry slip road onto the M18.
Drivers will continue and exit the M18 at junction four where they will be directed around the roundabout and onto the southbound M18. Signs will advise road users of the dates of the closures and clearly signed diversion routes will be in place.
A Doncaster Council spokesman said British Waterways had finished the work on the swing bridge in Barnby Dun.
The council says National Grid Gas has completed gas renewal work on the A19 Bentley Road, but more work will be required along the route. Parts of Barnby Dun Road will be closed on March 14.
