WHEN Freya Gill last made an appearance at Asda at Manor Top, there was more in store than everyone bargained for.

That’s because Freya’s previous appearance was also her first - not only at Asda, but in the world.

Freya was born a bit sooner than her mum Natasha Dyas and dad Dean Gill ever anticipated.

And staff at the store were so impressed with the way everyone coped that they invited the family back to make a bit of a fuss of the little lady.

Asda ‘store champion’ Ann Collins presented little Freya with a goody bag packed with baby essentials.

And she said: “Freya is a very special little baby, because she is an Asda baby!

“It’s not every day that a baby is born in our car park so we wanted to invite her back to see how she is getting on.

“Now we’re going to put her picture our notice board!”

It was last month expectant mum-to-be Natasha started unexpectedly with contractions. Freya was safely delivered in the Asda car park weighing a healthy six pounds 15 ounces.
