Mistaken for othe AA

Have your say

AN AA spokesman recently stated that he expected fuel prices at the pumps to drop by as much as 6p per litre in a few weeks time now that the Libyan conflict has come to an end.

I was under the impression that he was from the Automobile Association but considering his expectations, I suspect I must have mistaken it for another AA.

Busking for Heroes

We, the Buskin’ Buddies (all retired gentlemen of a certain age), got permission to busk in Meadowhall for Help for Heroes and played from 11.30 to about 2pm on November 4.

Thanks to the public’s generosity, we raised £433.28p which will be passed on to the charity. It’s a very worthy cause that we are proud to assist. We will be playing there again on December 1, 2 and 16 for the same charity.

Coming back home

If the Government stopped paying Winter Fuel Allowance to all those who left England for a better life, then you would not need to run your Surviving Winter Campaign. I know a couple who use the allowance to fund their trip over to England for Christmas.

Paying for ops abroad

It’s great news for little Ollie who needs to go to America for an operation so he can walk. But I can’t understand why we have to pay vast amounts to have these ops abroad yet people from abroad can come here and not only get it done free, we pay their board.
