The owner of a rescue husky dog which has gone missing in Sheffield says she has been ‘overwhelmed’ by the response to the appeal.
But Charlotte Coleman, who has been looking for Shadow for almost a month, is desperate to raise more awareness to locate her beloved pet.
The husky cross went missing on November 7 while out on a walk on moorland close to Stocksbridge.
Shadow is almost two years old and is ‘quite timid’ due to being a rescue dog.
A social media campaign has been launched online using #FindShadow and people have been out on foot combing areas.
Ms Coleman, a Hallam University lecturer, said: “It’s really quite overwhelming. A lot of people have spent a lot of time looking for him.
“It’s an obvious concern when it has been four weeks.
“You are constantly going from highs to lows because every time you hear there is a potential sighting, you are hopeful.
“We have to keep searching. To do anything else would be hard to digest.”
