Rotherham Minster is to host a special service observing the International Day of Prayer for Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.
Vicar of Rotherham Canon David Bliss will lead the service from 10.30am on Sunday.
Lord Lieutenant for South Yorkshire David Moody, Mayor of Rotherham Coun Dave Pickering and Sarah Champion MP will be attending.
Canon Bliss said: “I am so pleased we are able to hold this service again for the International Day of Prayer for Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.
“I also hope the literature display we have in the Minster will be helpful to people who want a greater understanding of autism.”
Russell Wells, treasurer of the National Autistic Society’s Rotherham branch, said: “This is the fourth year we’ve worked with Rotherham Minster to hold the service.”
