A ROTHERHAM United star will be lending his support to staff at a local estate agent when they take part in a fundraising walk to send children on the trip of a lifetime.

Ryan Creswell, the team’s captain, will be helping to present a cheque for £2,500 to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice in North Anston.

The money has been collected by a three-strong team from the Haybrook estate agency, including manager Candice Longworth, valuer Gareth Staines and administrator Teresa Calladine, who are set to walk 12 miles from their branch in Swinton to the hospice to raise the cash.

The money will be used to send children with life-threatening illnesses to Disneyland Paris through Magic Moments, Haybrook’s official charity.

Candice said: “We’re absolutely delighted that Ryan is taking time out from his training schedule to lend his support to such a great cause. We’re already busy training by walking to appointments rather than taking the car.”
