Millers film rings changes

COMMUNITY workers at Rotherham United have come together with young people to produce a film to tackle prejudice in football.

Rotherham United Community Sports Trust and the Great Millers Youth Forum produced ‘But They Like Cricket, Don’t They?’ - a film that focuses on young Asians and their involvement in football.

The film, produced by Rotherham’s Open Minds Theatre Company, featured interviews with club representatives and council and youth workers.

Coun Mahroof Hussain, Rotherham Council cabinet member for community development, said: “This was a great initiative. We are a multi-cultural society and we need to ensure our teams and terraces allow everyone to enjoy the beautiful game.”
