IT WAS a day Sheffield youngster Mikyle Lowe will remember for the rest of his life.
Visually impaired Mikyle, aged 12, from Firth Park, joined more than 100 children who are blind or partially sighted with their families and school groups for a backstage tour of the musical Annie at West Yorkshire Playhouse.
Organised by Action for Blind People, Mikyle met the cast and was invited to wear some of the costumes.
Action for Blind People organises activities and events, including Actionnaires clubs, giving children with sight loss opportunities for social activities, whilst encouraging friends and families to get involved.
Mikyle said: “It was brilliant! It was great to meet all the actors and I really enjoyed the show.”
Karen Boyes, Action’s children and family support coordinator, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to the Playhouse and everyone involved in Annie for their generosity in arranging this wonderful day.
“This backstage tour will stay in their memories for a long time.”
