A PUBLIC meeting is being held tomorrow night to discuss proposals to plant 40 trees in a Sheffield park.

Under the plans, drawn up by Sheffield Council and Wildscapes Sheffield, 10 large parkland trees and an orchard of 30 fruit trees would be planted on the Bolehills in Crookes.

A consultation letter sent to households near the park said the trees will “dramatically improve and enhance” the local environment.

The letter also claims the trees will absorb noise and pollution and bring wildlife into the park.

The meeting, at 7pm in the Bolehills Pavilion, will also explore the possibility of setting up a Friends of the Bolehills group.
