UNITE Against Fascism is to host a meeting in Rotherham following on from a rally in the town on the day members of the English Defence League staged a protest march there.
UAF claim their event last weekend was a celebration of multi-cultural Rotherham and members are to meet on to discuss how to promote the town as a place where people from different countries can live together.
Their rally was held on the day that the EDL staged a demonstration in the town after it emerged that groups of Asian men had been grooming young girls for sex.
Confidential police and council reports were published revealing the extent of the problem.
UAF’s meeting is to be held at the Unity Centre, St Leonard’s Road, Rotherham, at 7pm on Tuesday.
