FIRST Sheffield actor Sean Bean pledged his support – and now the city’s Lord Mayor has backed a charity campaign to raise funds for a new cancer unit.

Coun John Campbell has given his seal of approval to Weston Park Hospital’s £1.3million Do Your Bit appeal to build a world-class cancer research and treatment suite.

Mr Campbell said: “The campaign is vital to raise much-needed funds. Weston Park Hospital is a lifeline for so many people, so I’m delighted to give the campaign my support.
