Residents have gathered with the Mayor to celebrate 40 years of a Barnsley flat block.

Woodhall Flats, Darfield, first opened on March 2, 1974.

The gathering, organised by Berneslai Homes, was attended by more than 70 people including residents, Mayor Councillor Ken Richardson and local councillors.

Councillor Richardson presented a This Is Your Life style book and flowers to Ann Copeland, who has worked at Woodhall Flats since the complex opened.
