TOP young squash players taking part in the British Junior Open are to receive presentations from the Lord Mayor of Sheffield.
Coun John Campbell is to visit Abbeydale Squash Club, Dore, where the tournament is taking place.
The Mayor’s appearance will be on the finals day, from 2.30pm on Sunday.
The British Junior Open is one of the biggest squash events in the world, attracting 500 of the most promising players from Europe, the Middle East, Hong Kong, Australia and the USA.
This year’s British Junior Open also acts as the springboard for the launch of The Big Hit, a new campaign being launched in 2013 by England Squash and Racketball to get more people playing the sports for recreational and social purposes.
