The Master Cutler and his wife were guests of St Luke’s Hospice when they toured the Sheffield charity’s site.
David and Ruth Grey visited the Whirlow hospice’s new £5 million in-patient centre and the therapies and rehabilitation centre and chatted to patients and staff.
Day patient Cathy Gibbons presented the couple with a hand-printed silk scarf and tie, made by patients in the hospice’s art therapy sessions.
Peter Hartland, hospice chief executive, said: “We are always delighted to welcome guests like Mr and Mrs Grey and give them an insight into the work we do at St Luke’s.”
The Master Cutler is the head of the Company of Cutlers in Hallamshire.
