A MASKED thief broke into a store and stole mountain bikes worth almost £8,000.
Store manager Dean Poole said the raider broke into J E James Cycles on Whittington Moor roundabout, Chesterfield, early yesterday and used bolt-cutters to remove a Lapierre Zesty worth about £4,800 and a Kona Stinky Air worth £3,000.
He sped off in a small white Suzuki van with one door open.
Dean said: “We are offering a reward for any information we receive that leads to a conviction.”
Police say the thief was white, medium build, wearing a blue and white striped hooded top, brown tracksuit bottoms or combat trousers, white trainers, green gloves and a black balaclava.
