A LONDON Marathon competitor is organising a marathon-themed fitness class to help himself and others get in shape.

Doncaster runner Gary Long is staging the two-hour spinning class on March 23 at Xercise4less on York Road, and is hoping to be joined by nearly 40 other fitness fanatics for the two hour session.

The event will run from 2pm to 4pm and is only open to gym members, with those wanting to take part admitted on a strictly first-come-first-served basis.

Gary will be running the Marathon on April 21 in aid of the LJS Foundation, the charity set up by former Doncaster Rovers football ace Billy Sharp following the tragic death of his son Luey Jacob.

All proceeds from the spinning class will also go the charity.
