Sheffield politician Meg Munn has become the first MP to be awarded Chartered Manager status, which recognises the achievements of professional managers and leaders in the UK.
Ms Munn, Labour MP for Heeley, was presented with the award by the Chartered Management Institute in Parliament this week.
Chartered Manager is the highest status that can be achieved in the profession.
A trained social worker, Ms Munn has extensive management experience in social services including a spell as assistant director for children’s services in York. She also holds a Certificate and Diploma in Management Studies. Ms Munn said: “I am delighted to be awarded Chartered Manager status. Management and leadership skills are crucial towards achieving growth.”
