Man's Haiti family search

A SHEFFIELD man whose family was hit by the Haiti earthquake has flown to the Dominican Republic to search for his relatives.

Jean Duclonat, aged 29, from Firth Park, is spending two weeks in the region to comfort his mother, and continue looking for his elder brother, nieces and nephews.

Jean, who works at HSBC bank in Sheffield, received good news two weeks ago when his 19-year-old brother Timothee phoned him to say their sister Chrimene, 23, was safe.

- STUDENTS at Dearne Valley College will offer hand and arm massages to the public and compete in a fancy dress dance-athon as part of a range of activities to raise funds for Haiti survivors. The fundraising will be from 9.30am to 12.30pm tomorrow at the Rockingham Centre, West Street, Wath and is open to the public.

Another Haiti quake dance-athon took place yesterday at Seven Hills special school in Sheffield. Students danced non-stop from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
