Man faces stab attack charge
A MAN is facing an attempted murder charge after a 25-year-old woman was stabbed in broad daylight in Rotherham town centre.
The man, aged 27, was arrested following the incident on Bridgegate just after 1pm on Wednesday.
The victim was taken to Rotherham Hospital, where she is being treated for stab injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident. Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 0114 2202020 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 111 555.
