Man still in hospital after vicious Sheffield city centre beating

A man is recovering in hospital after he was subjected to a vicious beating in Sheffield city centre.

The 27-year-old man suffered serious head injuries and a deep cut to the face after he was kicked and punched repeatedly.

Police said the emergency services were called at 2.40am on Thursday, October 30, following the attack outside Popworld on Carver Street.

A 17-year-old youth and a man, 20, were arrested on suspicion of assault and bailed pending further enquiries.
