Man stabbed outside Sheffield bar

A man has been stabbed in the chest outside a bar in Sheffield.

The man was assaulted on London Road close to Barry’s Bar in the early hours of December 19.

The 28-year-old victim was taken to the Northern General Hospital where he remains in a stable condition with a puncture wound to his chest. His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

Officers were called at 4.21am and three men were arrested nearby on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and remain in police custody.

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for information. Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101 and quoting incident number 292 of 19 December. Information can also be emailed to enquiries@southyorks.pnn.police.uk
