A 24-year-old motorcylist has been seriously injured after falling from his bike.

Police are investigating the circumstances around the incident, which occurred at around 12.40am today (Sunday, December 7)

The man was travelling on Bawtry Road on a red Longjia 125 scooter and turned left into Carrhouse Road, when he appears to have lost control and fell from the bike, at the junction with St Helen’s Road.

Officers do not believe any other vehicle was involved.

The man was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary suffering serious head and abdominal injuries.

Anyone witnesses should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 46 of December 7, 2014.
