Man seriously hurt in shooting

A MAN is in hospital with serious injuries after being shot in Sheffield.

The 25-year-old was fired at in a property on Alport Road, Frecheville. Police said he is in a ‘serious but stable’ condition.

The victim was targeted at around 10pm on Wednesday, and police were last night still looking for the culprit.

“Police received reports of a firearm being discharged at a property on Alport Road,” said a spokesman. “A 25-year-old local man sustained gunshot wounds. Nobody has been arrested at this stage and inquiries are continuing.”
