This is the spot where a man was found hanging from the window of a Sheffield shopping square at 3am by fire crews.

The man had to be rescued from the top of Orchard Square, where he was clinging to a spot at least six storeys high, yesterday.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service has now confirmed the man, believed to be about 18, was checked over but did not require hospital treatment.

It is believed he had climbed to the top of the building using a fire escape and his calls for help were heard by security,

When asked by fire crews, he said he ‘couldn’t remember’ how he had got there.

A broken window is now visible at the spot where he was rescued from, which is facing inside the square above the shops.
