The body of a man was found at Parson Cross Park in Sheffield yesterday.
Officers were called to an area of land off Deerlands Avenue, near Holgate Crescent, at around 1pm, after reports were received that a body had been discovered by a dog walker.
Police confirmed the body was that of a 47-year-old man.
An area of grassland was cordoned off using police tape, and a patrol car was stationed at the scene.
One man working at a house in nearby Holgate Road told The Star: “I heard police found a body and I was trying to find out from people but nobody seemed to know for sure.
“The police weren’t saying anything but the area was taped off for the best part of the afternoon.”
