MUSICIAN Scott Bramley is going to be a busy man in the run-up to Doncaster Amateur Operatic Society’s production of Hot Mikado next month.
When the role of Nanki-Poo proved difficult to cast Scott immediately stepped into the breach - even though he is already engaged as the musical director.
“We are delighted to be working alongside him on the stage as well as being our musical director,” said spokesman Frances Lister.
The former Danum School pupil, who has been performing professionally as a singer and pianist since 2003, is ready for the challenge ahead having recently performed in Chess with Rotherham Teachers Operatic Society.
Scott plays opposite Claire Rowley as the beautiful Yum-Yum.
Hot Mikado, at Doncaster Civic Theatre from March 2-5, is given a contemporary feel with swing, jive, and sassy songs plus a little gospel and rhythm and blues. Tickets are £12.
