Man killed in crash near Sheffield
A 61-year-old man has died following a collision in South Anston area of Rotherham yesterday evening (Sunday August 21).
At about 6.55pm a silver Nissan Almera was travelling along A57 Sheffield Road towards Todwick when there was a collision, close to Mill Lane junction, between the car and a white Mercedes HGV travelling in the opposite direction.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have now been informed.
Investigating officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or the manner of driving prior to the collision, to call 101 quoting incident number 983 of 21 August 2016.
