A man who is thought to have been killed by a runaway van in Rotherham town centre has been named by police.
Michael John Mills, aged 54, died after a black VW van which was parked in Howard Street is believed to have rolled forward into a pedestrian area and collided with him, according to police.
The incident happened at about 3.50pm on August 21 and emergency services were called, but Mr Mills was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man is originally from Doncaster but was living in Rotherham.
South Yorkshire Police are appealing for information about the incident and has asked anyone with information to contact the force on 101 quoting reference number 617 of August 21.
