A MAN has been locked up for supplying cannabis after receiving a text message from a customer while in police custody.
Kristofer O’Halleran, 23 of Holly Dene, Armthorpe, Barnsley, was seen acting suspiciously in a car by officers at 3.45am on July 28 last year near Westmoor Park in Armthorpe.
They found 9.45 grams of cannabis, a crowbar and a mobile phone.
When in custody, O’Halleran’s phone received a text message asking why he was late dropping off the drugs. He told police the person must have text him by mistake.
He later admitted possession with intent to supply at Sheffield Crown Court and was jailed for six months.
