Man in crown court accused of murder of Sheffield girl

A man has appeared in court accused of murdering a three-year-old girl in Sheffield.

Delroy Catwell, aged 30, spoke only to confirm his name at Sheffield Crown Court and enter his plea to the charge of murdering little Lylah Aaron.

Dressed in a navy blue sweatshirt, Catwell, of Beck Road, Shiregreen, Sheffield, pleaded not guilty to murder and was remanded in custody.

Lylah, of Beck Road, Shiregreen, died at Sheffield Children’s Hospital after being taken there on the evening of Friday, February 8.

Catwell will stand trial in July.
