Man in critical condition after his car crashed into a wall in Crosspool

A man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after he crashed into a wall in Crosspool and was thrown from his car.

At around 10.45pm on Sunday night, the 34-year-old man was driving a blue Ford Puma along Sandygate Road, towards Crosspool, when he hit a kerb.

He lost control of the car, close to the junction with Hallam Chase.

The car then rolled and hit a wall, throwing him from the vehicle.

He was taken to hospital where his condition is described as critical.

South Yorkshire Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have been in the area at the time to call 101 quoting incident number 1136 of 6 March 2016.
