A MAN has been jailed after police stopped his car near Chesterfield and found cocaine inside.

Scott Colthart, aged 36, was driving on the A617 near Chesterfield when he was pulled over by roads policing officers for having no insurance.

Officers searched his vehicle and found cocaine in the boot and passenger foot well.

Colthart, of Oakerthorpe, Alfreton, Derbyshire, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply.

He denied the offence but was found guilty after a trial at Derby Crown Court and jailed for 33 months.
