A MAN was crushed to death when a car he was working underneath fell on top of him on his driveway.
The 41-year-old, who has not yet been named, was working outside his house on Wales Road, Kiveton Park, Rotherham, when the accident happened.
Emergency services were alerted and firefighters lifted the vehicle off the casualty so paramedics could work on him.
Medics battled to revive him but his injuries were so severe he could not be saved and he was declared dead at the scene.
Firefighters from Aston Park and Mosborough stations were involved in the operation to release the man from beneath the car and spent around 90 minutes at the scene.

The driveway where the accident happened runs beside the dead man’s house, close to Whitelea Garage.
Neighbours said his family was ‘devastated’ at their loss.
