Man charged with Rotherham rapes

A 25-year-old man is due to appear in court today charged with four counts of rape following alleged attacks in Rotherham at the weekend.

South Yorkshire Police charged Nicholas Totty, of Newman Road, Whiston, Rotherham, with the offences last night.

Totty is due to appear at Rotherham Magistrates Court today.

He is charged with four counts of rape, one of wounding with intent, one of wounding, assault and inflicting grievous bodily harm.

The first alleged attack happened on Friday night in Moorgate Road, Rotherham.

The second took place 90 minutes later in the same area.
