A 23-year-old man has been charged and remanded into custody after a shooting outside a Sheffield pub.

Police were called to the Timber Top public house on Shirecliffe Road at around 8.25pm on Tuesday, September 1 following reports of a fight in the car park, during which a gun had been fired.

Connor Murphy, of Shirecliffe Road, Shirecliffe, appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, September 5 charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

He was remanded into custody to appear before Sheffield Crown Court at a later date.

Another 23-year-old man, who was injured in the shooting, has been arrested in connection with the incident.

He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
