Makeover for postal branch

SHEFFIELD’S Heeley Post Office will close for refurbishment on Monday, February 11 – and reopen with a new look 10 days later.

The Gleadless Road branch is to extend its opening hours and create four serving positions, which will be a mixture of one screened and two open plan, with one Post Office serving point provided for use at the retail counter

During the closure, customers are advised the nearest alternative post offices are Highfield, in London Road, and Thorpe House, in Lees Hall Avenue.

Adrian Wales, Post Office regional network manager for central England, said: “We understand how important having a post office is to residents in Heeley.

“We are confident this new modern post office service will meet the needs of the community.”
