An election to select South Yorkshire’s first Police and Crime Commissioner is to be held on November 15 and local people are being urged to ensure they are registered to vote.
Electoral registration forms for the 239,000 homes in the city are being delivered earlier than normal this year to ensure that the register produced in October is as up to date as possible ahead of the election.
Even if no changes are needed to the details on the registration form, residents are encouraged to follow the instructions for responding by phone, internet or text message. It is a legal requirement to respond.
