BAR staff at a Doncaster bar have reason to raise a glass - to themselves.

Manana Manana was a double winner at the Best Bar None awards, which rewards licensees for the safe and responsible management of licensed premises.

The Bradford Row venue was the overall winner of the competition, and also took the best town centre bar award.

Staff also took home a third plaque, to mark their accreditation under the scheme.

Richard McIvor, who co-owns Manana Manana with his brother David, said: “All our staff are over the moon with the results, we’ve put a lot of work in over the last 12 months and it’s paid off with us reclaiming the best bar and overall winners titles this year. Best Bar None has helped and I think we probably have the best trained staff in the area.”

The Dome won the 2011 best leisure venue award. Flares and Reflex claimed club of the year, with Goose on Hallgate taking the best pub award.

Community pub awards went to The Dog Daisy in Mexborough for the west and north of the borough, and Ziniz in Bawtry for the south and east.
