PLAYERS from Beighton Magpies FC hope to set a new world record by playing a special fundraising game in memory of former player Corp Liam Riley who was killed in action in Afghanistan.
The Magpies will field two teams - reds v blues - who aim to play a continuous game of five-a-side football for 28 hours to raise funds for Help For Heroes.
The game will take place at Killamarsh Leisure Centre on Sunday and Monday.
Dancers from the Stepping Out dance school will also be performing their routines in several slots over the weekend.
If you would like to play or to sponsor the event email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Paul after 6pm on 07952 111584.
