THAT so-called Top People’s Store Fortnum and Mason’s is coming a step nearer Sheffield.
But don’t go emptying your piggy bank for a spending spree just yet. The luxury goods dealer is to open its second store in 307 years in King’s Cross Station, London – which is actually 2.2 miles nearer to Sheffield than its Piccadilly original. That probably won’t be affecting sales at Morrison’s in Catcliffe or Asda at Handsworth but travellers might be tempted to stock up on quail’s eggs and foie gras before they get their Supersaver return back to Sheffield.
One wouldn’t want to be without either of those everyday items, would one?
