They’re normally poker-faced, but a lucky bunch of lads were all smiles as they won a dream trip.
A group of 10 amateur card players are set to go up against the USA team after scooping the top prize in a competition in Sheffield.
The city centre’s Genting Club played host to hundreds of poker enthusiasts from across the UK for the national finals of Redtooth’s Vegas 100 competition.
After a long battle it was Dave Ryan, Paul Saunders, Martin Connelly, Colin Clayton, Julian Varney, Alan White, Greg Shiels, Sam Snape, Lee Hall and Mick Lear who came out on top.
Now they are set to compete with 10 pub poker players from across the pond during an all-expenses-paid trip to the spiritual home of gambling - Las Vegas.
