Loyalty, I don’t think so

Have your say

Recently, South Yorkshire Police have had voluntary redundancies, to yet again thin out their staff in accordance with cuts.

A friend of mine who in different posts, has worked tirelessly for 37 years, has been refused voluntary redundancy as apparently the payment would be too costly.

However, higher salaried people and therefore higher redundancy payouts, have been granted to others.

After a 37-year career and an excellent work record this is the thank you this friend gets for loyalty.

Beware, because soon there will only be one police station in Sheffield open to the public to deal with your enquiries, so good luck there people.
