Dashing crossbreed Dave may be only seven months old – but he’s a big chap with plenty of love to give.

When the tan and white pooch first arrived at RSPCA Sheffield he was very frightened but, having built up his confidence, Dave is now looking for a new owner.

RSPCA Sheffield Branch animal care manager Tony Benham said: “It would be fantastic if we could find Dave his forever friend and home.

“He is just starting out in life and has so much potential to blossom, bond and learn.

“He’s been really enjoying his training with the centre’s staff and he’s now ready to find a family he can call his own.

“Dave is much happier than when he first arrived but we are looking for an understanding home with owners who will be patient with his occasional worries.

“Once he has got to know you, Dave is fun-loving, bouncy, bubbly and a pleasure to be around, and we’ve been delighted to watch him go from strength to strength.

“He has all the potential to make a brilliant pet but he needs that little more help and guidance in certain areas of his life than some of the other dogs and in return he will reward your input with lots of love, loyalty and fun times.”
