SOUTH Yorkshire Key Fund has joined forces with social enterprises Doncaster Refurnish and Moneyline to help people unable to access conventional loans or financial help.

Refurnish will offer credit facilities using the expertise of the not-for-profit lender, Moneyline, with low-cost loans being made available.

The Key Fund provided a £150,000 loan for the scheme.

Matt Smith, fund manager, said: “This will make a significant impact so people who are in dire financial straits don’t fall into the murky world of loan sharks and other illegal activities.”
