This gorgeous black and tan German Shepherd may be a golden-oldie, but he still loves to play.
Not much is known about DJ’s history, but it is thought he is around seven-years-old.
It is not known how he came to lose part of his ear, but he is fit and healthy and looking for a new home.
RSPCA animal care manager Tony Benham said: “As with any pet, DJ will need continued guidance and training.
“He will benefit from slow and gentle exposure to other animals and lots of positive experiences with them. He needs to be the only pooch in his new home.
“Despite his disco-sounding name, DJ’s general preference is for peaceful places without too much fuss or activity.
“So, if his new home were to have children, he would be happier with those over the age of 13 and he would like a home that is not too hectic.”
“He will need walks of around 20 to 30 minutes, plus an amount of stimulated interaction.”
Tony added: “Loveable DJ requires patient and kind owners, ideally with some experience of owning German Shepherds before.
“He will need to continue with slow and gentle training but he is generally obedient and well behaved.”
The branch is open daily except Wednesday.
