SCROLLING through the Daily Mail’s website recently, I was surrounded by yet more stories of celebrity break-ups.
Nothing new there then. Why is it that being rich and famous seems to make people incapable of having a lasting relationship?
Hollywood couples who scrape into double figures are praised for their ‘long and happy marriages.’ What a joke - we have couples in South Yorkshire celebrating 60 and 70 year anniversaries every day! Yet in Hollywood, a person can get engaged four times and married three without anyone batting an eyelid.
So what’s the deal? Is it simply the possibility? Does the knowledge that they’ve got that meeting with Justin Timberlake, filming with Brad Pitt and an awards ceremony with George Clooney coming up, make them less inclined to ‘work at it’ when the chips are down and things get tough at home?
