Lively Leonard is hoping to sniff out at new owner in Sheffield after welfare officers removed him from his previous home.

Described as a bouncy, lively and loveable young man, Leonard is hoping for a bright future after a sad start in life.

Tony Benham, RSPCA Sheffield animal care manager, said: “It’s sad when dogs come in to us through no fault of their own.

“We hope someone can offer this lovely dog a second chance in a permanent, caring home.

“He is a loving and affectionate boy who is always eager to please.

“Leonard seems sociable and appears to be good with his friends at the centre, so a home with another canine companion may be a possibility, depending on the outcome of a meet and greet.

“If his potential new owners have children, those over the age of 12, would be best suited to Leonard.”

Staff caring for Leonard say he will need regular walks and stimulated play time when possible to keep his mind active, happy and healthy.

Tony said: “Leonard is young, fun-loving and adoring and ready to start life afresh. He will make a great addition to the right family.”
