Two big-hearted Lottery winners helped spread some festive cheer when they visited two community groups in South Yorkshire.
Ray and Barbara Wragg – who won £7.6 million in 2000 – visited Parkhill Lodge care home, a centre for people with special needs in Maltby, Rotherham, and Lower Shiregreen Luncheon Club at Shiregreen Community Centre, Sheffield.
The couple, who have donated tens of thousands of pounds to worthy causes, took along a hamper of festive goodies, donated by lottery organisers Camelot, and made a generous donation to the groups, which will pay for a day out in the new year.
Ray, of Whirlow, said: “We take them a hamper each year and also donate £200 to them both so staff can take them out for the day.
“We always go back to the same places – they are wonderful places and we really enjoy our visits. It really brings it home to you when you visit them, it really does.”
