A BARNSLEY project offering drug and alcohol advice has received lottery funding to be able to carry on their vital work with the community.
Barnsley alcohol and drug advisory service has been awarded £138,000 from the Big Lottery Fund reaching communities’ programme, so it can continue the work of its Recovery Enterprises project.
The scheme works with people recovering from drug and alcohol problems in Barnsley with the aim of increasing their confidence, motivation, skills and employability, while supporting their recovery.
The group runs a wood workshop and members can get involved in the business side of things as well as learning about marketing.
Lynn Rogers, of BADAS, said: “We are thrilled to have received this grant.”
